Built-in grooves audio demo: This track is a compilation of short demos directly recorded from Kontakt, using some of the presets included in the library. These beats were performed live, using the built-in grooves and Mod Wheel variations. The demo also features soundscapes and transitions from the library.

ENSEMBLES

The library features five percussion ensembles that reproduce the sound of Brazilian drummers grooving and improvising together.

Each ensemble includes a selection of 7 complementary instruments, a full 7-channel mixer, and 12 tempo-synced rhythms with mod wheel variations.

Every ensemble has its own character and sound, with its own set of instruments and its own set of rhythms. The ensembles can be combined together or with solo instruments to create Kontakt multis with rich and intricate rhythms. The library includes many Kontakt multis replicating traditional and modern Brazilian grooves.

Each instrument has its own channel in the mixer. The controls let you change the sound in a powerful and intuitive way:

VOLUME (main round knob), PAN (horizontal slider)
High pass filter (HPF), pre-set equalizer (TONE) , saturation (DRIVE), and limiter (LIM)

TUNE: change the pitch of the instrument (+ or - 7 semi-tones)

SEND: send the signal to the main reverb. The amount of signal sent is set pre-fader, before the effects and the volume knob.

!!NB: the level of saturation (DRIVE) and the amount of limiting (LIM) are affected by the volume knob: setting the volume higher will result in more saturation and more limiting.

• Triangulo: a highly detailed triangle focusing on Brazilian forró playing style, with with an emphasis on muted hits and quick repetitions. Super useful for all music styles!

• Repinique: the typical solo instrument in Batucada and Samba ensembles. Extremely dynamic, with a warm and detailed sound.

• Cuica: one of the most emblematic Brazilian instruments! Sampled with a dry and versatile sound and great ‘magic’ automatic variations: extremely realistic!

• Surdo de Primeira: The largest batucada drum, sampled with a soft beater and a light stick to create a wide range of deep and evocative sounds.

• Berimbau Violinha, Medio, and Gunga: Three berimbaus of various sizes, offering different characters and complementary pitches.

• Tumba Conga: the lowest conga drum, perfect to add ‘body’ and authority to any groove!

• Beatbox: a selection of typical Brazilian mouth percussions and beatboxing to add a wonderful human touch to your rhythm tracks.

• Shaker Pandeiro: a unique pandeiro that uses shakers instead of jingles and a low-tuned napa head. A lovely instrument for softer acoustic tracks!

• Snare Drum: a Ludwig Black Magic brass snare, sampled with a huge amount of velocity layers and extended rimshot round-robins: lovely sounding and super expressive!

• Jazz Drumset: a small jazzy drumset with emphasis on cymbals. Over 60 ride cymbal round-robin samples let you create ultra-realistic bossa and jazz grooves.

• Timbale: a powerful instrument sampled with great depth. Perfect to add colorful accents and fill-ins to your rhythms.

• Samba Whistle: A two-tone metal whistle. Great for calls, accents, and exotic grooves.

Advanced realism with ‘magic’ keys

All instruments feature ‘magic’ keys: A new sample is played every time you press the key.

Up to 200 round-robin alternative samples are programmed on these ‘magic’ keys, resulting in constant subtle variations and ultra-realistic rhythms.

Authentic Brazilian ‘SUINGE’ RHYTHMIC FEEL

Instantly create beats with a realistic Brazilian rhythmic feel, known as ‘Brazilian Suinge’ or ‘samba swing.’ Most Brazilian drummers naturally perform a subtle micro shift in 16th-note pulses that creates an unmistakable, captivating, and irresistible groove!

 The library replicates this unique rhythmic character: all ensembles and solo instruments let you toggle between regular swing and Brazilian Suinge, with precise control over the level of swing/suinge applied to the grooves!

TRANSITIONS and EFFECTS

This instrument features a selection of transitions (swarms / swells) and effects recorded on a selection of percussion instruments.
